Technical Analyst

Job Description

As a key member of the technology strategy team, the Technical Analyst is involved in a wide range of company activities, with responsibility for gathering project requirements, analysis and solution definition. Technical Analysts interact directly with key customers, suppliers and industry leaders, assisting with business development initiatives, gathering requirements, and formulating strategies for building solutions that enable Wandrian and its customers to improve its positioning in the industry.

Responsibilities

•    Work directly with business partners to fully understand their systems and capabilities.

•    Work with business and technology technology teams to determine tradeoffs due to technical and business constraints.

•    Create comprehensive product documents such as technical requirements documents, functional specifications, use cases and process process flows

•    Work with technology development team throughout the development process to ensure the successful implementation of the product.

•    Participate in the definition and prioritization of software releases and overall product plan

Requirements

Qualifications

•    At least 3 years experience in technical analysis

•    Previous employment in the travel industry, preferable relating to passenger train travel

•    Experience creating technical analysis documents and working with engineering to build and deliver

•    Ability to serve as a liaison between development team and internal and external business teams

•    Familiarity with internet related technologies, including XML, Java, SQL

•    Familiarity with travel related websites and other e-commerce websites is a plus

•    Willingness to travel
