Director of Business Development, Technical Partners

Job Description:
Wandrian, a fast growth travel technology company located in Newton Centre, MA offers excellent opportunity for a Director of Business Development Manager, Technical Partners to become part of our Business Development team and to develop key accounts in the USA. The candidate will prospect leading travel organizations and other travel software companies to integrate our technology solutions and utilize our supporting business services to meet their goals. This position will report to the SVP of Business Development.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for formulating the strategy and secure Key Account business opportunities in the USA.
· Prepare and execute Sales Activity Plans to include personal and telephone sales calls, qualifying and prospecting for new business, and attending industry events.
· Work with Wandrian team members to understand in scope and out of scope services. Maximize the technology and services pricing strategy to meet company goals.
· Act independently to effectively communicate Wandrian’s capabilities and value proposition. Present all levels of technology demo as an expert.
· Display a solid understanding of the underlying technology applications and communicate with clients to discuss technical options and considerations to meet IT goals, budget and performance.
· Prepare proposals to present technical concepts in a clear manner to clients and work with clients and Wandrian Team to anticipate technical needs. Prepare plan and schedule. Oversee the process through from targeting prospects through closing and execution of the contract.
· Communicate with appropriate internal Wandrian resources such as Executives, Program Managers, Product Managers, Customer Engagement, and Developers to relay relevant information and assist in implementation support and post-sales consulting.
· Communicate with Product Management to convey market conditions and requirements to be incorporated into Wandrian's product development plans.
Requirements:
Qualifications
· At least 3 years experience in Technical Sales Role.
· BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus.
· Experience working with product management teams to define customer requirements.
· Ability to, in conjunction with customers, to build realistic business plans and budgets.
· Willingness to assume responsibility and see processes through to successful conclusion.
· Familiarity with internet related technologies.
· Familiarity with travel related websites and other e-commerce websites is a plus.
· Willingness to travel to customer sites.
Knowledge and Skills
· Enthusiasm and eagerness to learn!
· Strong rolodex of contacts at technology and travel organizations.
· Ability to cold call new accounts, generate client visits, build relationships with technical managers and manage negotiations. The right candidate for this role should feel comfortable developing business at C-level and with technology executives.
· Knowledge of technology trends and terminology is a must.
· Requires the analytical skills and attention to detail necessary to address the details of pre-sales systems implementation for customers while maintaining a big picture view of the sales opportunity and customer implementation.
· Ability to craft custom sales proposals and knowing how they relate to product development phases.
· Comfortable working with customers in an outward facing role. Savvy in establishing and maintaining technical credibility with clients.
